Message from the President

We, Mitsui & Co., Logistics Partners Ltd., have built up our expertise as the asset management company of Japan Logistics Fund Inc. (JLF), a J-REIT dedicated to logistics properties, through JLF's deliberate acquisitions with properly conservative investment standards since its incorporation in July 2004.

Since business fields have expanded much more recently, a key success factor for any company has become its access to a highly sophisticated logistics network. Thus, as a recent trend, we can see many companies seeking further optimization of their existing logistics network or reconstructing their distribution networks by utilizing the services provided by third-party logistics providers. With such a trend on the part of logistics, the activities of JLF have significant meaning with regard to recent business movements and much potential to expand its portfolio.

JLF is conducting business under its management philosophy, but its team of sponsoring companies is also important for accomplishing such. Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (hereafter "MBK", The Chuo Mitsui Trust and Banking Co. (hereafter, "CMTB"), and Kenedix Co. (hereafter, "KDX") are the sponsors. MBK provides broad expertise in logistics itself, CMTB provides expertise in financing and KDX offers its know-how and accrued experience in real estate.
